Fights: Unless it's about his job, Alexis doesn't actively seek them out, though he'll never refuse a challenge.

Alcohol: Specifically lots of it and all kinds there are - he's often found in pubs and is very well able to hold his liquor.

Bladed weapons of any kind: Fencing in general is one of the few things Alexis is actually quite passionate about.

Lazing around: Whenever he isn't training or just hunting down his current target, Alexis is usually found sleeping or being otherwise completely apathetic.

Dislikes:

Being the center of attention: Alexis usually prefers to keep himself in the background and dislikes being pushed into the limelight.

Sweets: One of the few kinds of food that he resents thrououghly.

Restrictions: Being a textbook example of a wild card, Alexis hates seeing his freedom being bound by unneccesary ties or responsabilities.

Naive or nosy people: Alexis regards them as terrible annoyances (to still put it in a polite way) and will usually act agressive or irritated towards them.

Any remarks about his hair colour: It's one of the few things Alexis is actually self-conscious about and any mockery /will/ send hin straight into a fit of rage.

Personality: Most who have had the opportunity to meet Alexis would describe him as a generally unpleasant man. He usually displays a quite rude behaviour and is a fond user of profanity (to not say that he swears like an old sailour) as well as brutal sarcasm. Usually, he'll try anything to keep others at bay and will stay in the background to avoid any unwanted attention from strangers (though his not quite bland appearance makes this fail often). There is a somewhat softer core underneath his generally rough and agressive shell, though it only shows once in a blue moon. While being a citizen of Vandigo, Alexis doesn't seem to harbour any particular interest in the countries' ambitions - he's rather a wild card who only lives for his own interests.

History: While his general behaviourisms don't suggest it, Alexis was usually born into a family of nobles as the youngest son. Already from a very young age on, he felt as though trapped into the methaphorical, golden cage - obviously, his enthusiam for the obligatory violin lessons and the hometeaching wasn't exactly grand, to say the least. Only the occasional fencing lessons, where he met his only friend were a pleasant break from his bland everyday drill.

During his teenage years Alexis and his friend, a young Zoroark by the name of Kriemhilde, who both grew tired of theit lifestyle, planned to elope together and fullfill their common dream of exploring the world. One night, the two stole a boat and managed to sail away without being caught in the act. They travelled in between the countries as drifters for three years, though it eventually took an unexpected turn. Alexis and Kriemhilde were mugged by pirates and, being severly outnumbered, they didn't stand a chance. While Kriemhilde got murdered by their attackers, Alexis managed to get away with severe injuries and reached Vandigo's shore with the last bit of his strength.

This pivotal point in his life made him grow bitter and cynical - after he recovered from his injuries, the eighteen year old Escalavier was offered a place to live by his saviour, a female mercenary and got to be her apprentice. After many years of strict training and picking up his mentor's distrustful attitude, Alexis started to hunt down targets independenty until now.

Additional information:

The turqoise bead on his belt is a memento of his deceased friend and he won't let anyone touch the Zoroark's jewel.

He has several scars on his torso and arms that are usually hidden underneath his thick clothing.

Alexis speaks with a rough accent, which sounds vaguely like Cockney.

He usually never refers to anyone by their actual name, but resorts to (not exactly endearing) nicknames.

Usually, Alexis grows quite jumpy in the presence of an open fire.
